BIG NEWS FOR THE LADIES - COSSA has selected Judy Andrews as "Director Women's Operations" with responsibility for forming a women's senior softball program in Central Ohio. Judy plays softball on several "younger" Central Ohio teams and has been very successful while competing in the softball "wars". She is presently playing tournament softball with the "Michigan Medical Miracles" and travels nationally to compete in scheduled tournaments. To be eligible to play senior softball a woman must be at least 40 years old sometime during the year that she first joins a senior team or league.
FLASH - Charlie Collins, CEO & Chmn. of COSSA has been appointed to the Pioneer Category Advisor Committee of the "National Senior Softball Hall of Fame". The "Pioneer" Division is for those senior players past 69 years of age, who have contributed so much to Senior Softball in the United States. SCOOP - COSSA is proud to announce that Charlie Collins has been selected to serve on the "Board of Directors" and the "National Tournament Directors" committee of the Softball Players Assn., (SPA). The SPA is a national senior softball
organization formed for the purpose of administering national rules, training and certifying umpires, overseeing senior tournaments, both qualifying and national, rating teams and player skills for competitive purposes, testing and approving softball equipment, etc.
